Managing your IBM System i Software Keys
The IBM Software Key Centre (web link) allows you to manage your own software licence keys.
To set up the key centre:
Create / use an IBM registered email address (use a generic team address)
Register with the site
To associate your systems to the above mentioned email address, you will require the machine's System Number and Customer number with the prefix 866. Both can be found on the shipment documentation for the software delivery.

System Report
Logicalis System Engineers have found System Reports of great use when comparing system performance pre and post upgrades. If kept, these provide a very useful mechanism for comparing system performance as a compact report.
The report is generated from basic performance data and is actioned by taking option 3 (print perf report) from the performance tools menu (GO PERFORM). Option 1 will select a System Report, then hit F6 to print entire report, then take option 1 to select time frame you wish to use to create the report (usually the busiest one hour period).
This report gives a good overview of the general system performance showing such things as CPU, Memory and Disk utilisation, Workload volumes and interactive response time, Comms utilisation, TCP/IP and HTTP activity, etc.
