Dear Power System i User,

Welcome to the latest issue of the Logicalis Power System i newsletter.

In June 1988 IBM announced the AS/400. Over the 20 years since then hundreds of thousands of customers have purchased these systems. These customers have been the most loyal and passionate supporters of the product. To celebrate this milestone IBM is holding a 20th Birthday Party at the Charing Cross Hotel in the Strand on October 8th, featuring  two very special speakers,  Dr Frank Soltis who is often referred to as the father of the AS/400 and  Craig Johnson who is Product Manager in Rochester working on future developments for the platform.

By the time of distribution this event will actually have taken place and many of you may have attended what  should be a fitting tribute to a truly wonderful system - 20 years old, but still a leading-edge technology.
